Mrinmoy Debbarma is from Tripura, one of the seven states referred to as the "seven sisters" and one of several that have experienced extreme violence. His most recent works take a political stance, with acts of violence serving as the main focus. In today's modern environment, where we are frequently threatened by instability and violence, he hopes to illustrate the desire for violence in a way that is widespread and well-liked by people all over the world by using the style of comics.
