K. Laxma Goud is a master of many mediums. Namely, graphite, watercolour, gouache, and pastels, and has dabbled in sculpture, painting, sketching, and glass colouring. His works are mostly in watercolours and follow a collective theme of presenting the scenes of Andhra Pradesh, his native village of Nizampur.
This work, in particular, displays a balanced, complementary colour scheme with patches of yellow that make the highlighted areas of the painting stand out. It’s an etched piece that showcases a poignant portrait of a woman adorned with a variety of embellishments.
