Dipak Banerjee's "Kali Mata'' honours the goddess Kali's fiery and magnificent spirit along with the neo-tantra icon to recreate a holistic visual. The majestic goddess, who has three eyes and a projecting golden tongue, is garnished with flowery blossoms, which embody her passionate beauty, immense prowess and infinite wisdom. Banerjee conceptually adorns her stature with a large gold crown creating a hint of inconceivable wonder. A mirror reflection encloses a mantra called 'kling' at the minuscule centre, outwarded by a square citadel. The redeeming composition's concentric circle (sahasrara) and multi-layered triangle represent the omnipresence of cosmic energy prevalent within the biospheric life while augmenting the marker of the spiritual journey.
