This painting is a symbolic representation of the Hindu deity Vishnu. The darker brown palette dominates the overall composition, yet the intentional use of lighter pastel colours at the centre of the composition sets the focal point and exudes a sense of meditative calm. The four features of Vishnu Iconography that have been preserved are the lotus, conch shell, war disc, and clubbed maze, while the introduction of Sanskrit shlokas as an element becomes a recurring motif in Dipak's visual language.
