Replete with Neo-tantra icons that signify various stages of spiritual life, Dipak Banderjee’s Gyan Pushpa Parimandal codifies the innate wisdom into twenty five citadels. Notably, the top row of five grids illustrate the enlightened beings of Ganesha, Krishna, Kali, Mahavir and Buddha, while the lower ones symbolise the stages of attainment. Banerjee through the title of the work elucidates the redemption from the circle of life through the flowering of knowledge. The painting displays several yantras, which are symbolic forms in tantra, among which the triangles either in upward facing or inverted direction, denote the purusha and prakriti, the male and female energies. In addition, among all, the presence of chausath yogini mandal in the centre of the lower most column suggests the initiation of consistent penance to achieve enlightenment. Banerjee's meticulous attention to detail and quasi-religious palette create a harmonious and contemplative visual experience, inviting viewers to delve into the profound depths of spiritual knowledge and cosmic harmony.
