The word ‘Chausat’ is translated to 64, while ‘yogini’ literally means a female practitioner of yoga. These are the forest spirits and mother goddesses, worshipped by the tribes of central India. Within the symmetry of his lines, we get a glimpse of thematic exactitude, floating in the flow of colour, an embracing of Indian folk traditions.
