Phi Events Singapore, in association with Sanchit Art of New Delhi, presented a diverse collection of contemporary Indian art from April 19th till April 21st, held at The Arts House. The show attracted hundreds of visitors and art collectors daily. Titled Kala Sutra: Continuity & Flux, the exhibition showcased nine modern masters in Indian art: Ganesh Pyne, Jayasri Burman, Jogen Chowdhury, K. Laxma Goud, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Neeraj Goswami, Paresh Maity, Satish Gujral and Thota Vaikuntam. Featuring more than fifty select paintings and sculptures spanning a broad spectrum of subjects, media and dimensions, the exhibition was a visual treat for Singapore art lovers.

"A painting is essentially static. Dynamism lies in the way it is painted. Each artist in this show serves as a link that forms a continuum chain which is dynamic and vibrant with static vigour. 'Continuity' of this thread re-establishes the strength and timelessness of Indian art today."
- Arun Ghose, Curator

Dr. TCA Raghavan, the Indian High Commissioner, inaugurated the show. Paresh Maity performed live by painting in his signature style on a hot air balloon, enthralling the audience. A discussion moderated by Deepica Shetty of Straits Times, with five of the celebrated artists - Jayasri Burman, Jogen Chowdhury, Neeraj Goswami, Paresh Maity and Thota Vaikuntam - conducted a preview event and engaged with the audience.
Author Arun Ghose from Kolkata was also part of the talk and gave an insider's perspective on the Indian art market and trends in contemporary art. A similar talk was held the following day, moderated by local artist and photographer Joytote, daughter of artist Kumar Banerjee, offering guests a unique opportunity to interact with these artists and learn more about their art and inspirations.
