Shanti Dave is known for his experimentation with mediums like encaustic as a material to provide a layered surface on which markings appear like hieroglyphics from some distant past. As one may note, this work is layered and gradually emerges from a flat surface, which then transcends to some textual imagery, and finally, three-dimensional elements appear, depicting Hindu icons of deities, like an algorithm of some cosmic sign language.
