Yet the absence of the human figure unravels the cycle of life and death - presence and absence bound together. In this piece, the city is represented through generic box-shaped forms, all wedged together, wrestling for space on the crowded river bank, capturing the essence of the narrow lanes, chaotic architecture, and serenity of the holy river that flows through the city of Banaras.
