Rooted in a lifelong connection to riverine landscapes, Haloi conjures an immersive underwater world where sustenance and spirit flow as one. Having grown up amidst regions where rivers shape both livelihood and memory, his work pays homage to the unseen life beneath the surface. Hazy greens and muted yellows evoke the filtered light beneath river surfaces, where life moves gently, unseen. Scattered triangular forms suggest schools of fish drifting in synchrony as symbols of sustenance, community, and rhythm. The layered textures reflect submerged vegetation and silt, while faint white marks ripple like water currents. Through this dreamlike underwater realm, Haloi celebrates the life-giving spirit of rivers that silently nourish both land and soul.
