Somnath C Banerjee (b. 1969) is a painter from Kolkata, where he completed his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Government College of Art and Craft.
His work deals with figurations with a contrasting colour palette. His work varies in colour application, wherein some paintings display colour blocking. His artworks are highly detailed and imaginative, and the themes offer a variety.
Somanath C Banerjee received the Satyendranath Tagore Award in 1994 and the National Integration Camp organized by Rishi Aurobindo in 1992 for his work.
Banerjee currently lives and works out of Delhi.
