Maite Delteil French, b. 1933
“While you are growing as an artist, you don’t know who you are and you are trying to find it through your work without thinking, on instinct. When I see my old oil paintings and I see my paintings now, I see a common thread of bright colours. For me, happiness is symbolized by those colours that bind all the works together.”Maite Delteil
Maite Delteil is a renowned French artist born in 1933 in Furnel. She received her art education at Ecole Des Beaux-Arts, Academie de la Grand Chaumiere, Academic Julian, and the National School of Art.
Maite Delteil's works are a testament to her creative and thoughtful approach to art. Her works explore her thoughts and emotions, which have a distinct compositional sense.
Maite has exhibited in France, America, Japan, and India. She was awarded the prestigious Prix De la Casa Velasquez in 1959 and then received a fellowship from the Government and Institute De France to study in Spain and Greece.
