Overview

"My grandfather was an artist and I grew up watching him draw and paint as a young boy. Since then I think I always wanted to be an artist myself, I wanted to do what he was doing."

Ramu Das is an eminent artist from Kolkata and completed his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Kala Bhavana (Painting Deptt.) Visva Bharati University in 2005 and his Master's degree in the following year.
Ramu Das's paintings are a recall of his childhood which reflects well in his vibrant artworks. Colours like orange, yellow, green, and red dominate his artworks.
A good amount of his artworks showcase lotuses inspired by the Buddhist temples of Darjeeling and Nepal.
His colour scheme is bright and lively, with the majority of his canvas populated.
He has exhibited in a couple of galleries.
