Roots and Fruits in New Age Aesthetics

Sanchit Art and PHI Events proudly presented Kala Sutra Singapore 2014, a landmark showcase celebrating the presence of Indian artists in Singapore. Held at The Arts House, Singapore, the exhibition brought together some of India’s most distinguished contemporary artists, reflecting the evolving language of Indian art in a global context.

The exhibition featured works by celebrated artists including Sakti Burman, Jogen Chowdhury, Thota Vaikuntam, Arpana Caur, Neeraj Goswami, Jayasri Burman, Paresh Maity, Ram Kumar, and Satish Gujral. Through a diverse range of artistic styles and visual narratives, the exhibition explored the relationship between traditional Indian sensibilities and contemporary aesthetics.

Previewed on 22nd May 2014 and open to the public from 23rd to 25th May 2014, Kala Sutra 2014 offered Singapore audiences an engaging insight into the richness and diversity of Indian contemporary art. The exhibition stood as an important cultural initiative, further strengthening artistic dialogue and exchange between India and Singapore.
