Kalasutra: Continuity in Diversity
The group show Kalasutra: Continuity in Diversity, curated by Arun Ghose, is an exploration of the vibrant Indian art scene of the 20th century.
Featuring works by 12 of the country’s most celebrated artists, this exhibition presents a unique visual representation of the diverse yet continuous cultural traditions of Indian art. Through a seamless blend of modernist, nationalist, and post-colonial influences, the show celebrates the unity of India’s past and present and offers a glimpse into the cultural importance of the Indian art world. By highlighting the distinct yet interconnected identity of Indian art, Kalasutra: Continuity in Diversity is an important portrayal of India’s history and culture.
