Aren’t we all Buddhas…Travelling through Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos and paying homage to the Buddha in various monasteries I was musing on my experience as I was sailing on the Mekong…so many images worshipped, many more destroyed, some by Nature, some by Man, wars fought to what end? Ultimately don’t the desecrated icons still retain the spirit of Buddha? Are they not still spiritual? Can any force destroy the Buddha within us?
