Early morning in the monastery…It was before the first rays of sunlight lit up the faces of the gilded Buddhas, the tranquility of the space was overwhelming. I was kneeling at the foot of the icon, everything was perfectly still.. the only movement was the incense’s smoke drifting and activating the sacred environment.
