Manu Parekh Indian, b. 1939
"We talk about the bad, but never the good. Why see one side and not the other?"
- Manu Parekh
Manu Parekh was born in 1939 in Ahmedabad. He acquired a diploma in Drawing and Painting from the J.J. School of Art.
Parekh describes himself as a physical painter rather than an intellectual one. He painted in an expressionistic manner with subjects that he found immense beauty. His themes ranged from being inspired by nature, scenic views, and mythologies.
His colour palette displayed various themes in his paintings, and his artworks showcase heavy texturing and bold outlines in black.
His presence in group and solo shows has been abundant, and he has received many awards for his skills.
