New Delhi: Sanchit Art, New Delhi, presents Beyond Myth and Metaphor, a solo show by Shabir Hussian Santosh, whose canvases become portals into worlds of fable, memory, and introspection. Rooted in the timeless terrain of mythology yet reimagined through an intensely personal lens, Shabir’s works draw from a lifetime of reading, meditative solitude, and artistic rigour.
Created in the quietude of his East Delhi studio, these luminous compositions weave fragments of universal myths with intimate reflections, transforming the painted surface into a site of spiritual dialogue. His mastery as a colourist—shaped by an inherited legacy yet entirely his own—infuses each canvas with a palpable energy, where abstraction and figuration coalesce effortlessly. This special gallery collection, reflecting his lifelong engagement with myth, memory, and landscape, is on view at Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi, until April 30, 2025.
