Born in Kolkata in 1964, Goutam Sarma's pictorial world is full of serenity. Valleys, mountains, and gorges frequently appear in his artworks, but in a very distilled manner. He achieves the same through abstraction and non-representational ways of painting. With the ensemble of harmonious colour schemes and the cubistic manner, Sarma has established his brilliance in the world of art.
